Just arrived in the post, my contributor’s copy of Another Wild West, an anthology of alternate history western short stories from Pill Hill Press. I must admit I had great fun writing the piece and it has actually become part of the alternate history not-quite-so-western novel I am currently writing (when not under water). It is the second short story set in this particular alternate universe that I have sold this year (Tales of Far Americay in Penny Dread Tales from Rune Wright was the other one) and I’m writing another – probably an excuse for not getting back to the novel, but I have a market in mind and the deadline is fast approaching.
